2013 WCNS Summer Camp - Bringing Creativity Back to Camp!
All new and unique Summer Camp programs for 2.5 - 5 year olds!

Winnetka Community Nursery School offers a fun and enriching five-week program for children aged 2½ to 5 years old. Our unique camps focus on learning by discovery and exploration using both our air-conditioned indoor classrooms and state of the art outdoor learning centers. Children are instructed by highly qualified early childhood teachers who nurture and challenge children in small groups. Each camp fosters imagination, creativity, socialization and gross motor development through enriching and exciting activities and play.
Sandpipers (2.5-3 yr. olds)
Designed for very young children. Join us for 2 or 4 mornings for 2.5 hours of play and activities both in the classroom and outside.
Artful Adventurists (3-5 yr. olds)
This camp promoting creativity is designed to provide an introduction to a large range of art media including clay, paint, wire, 3D collage & textiles. Children, will discover and participate in the design, construction and creative process of art. Parents are invited to a gallery exhibition of the children’s works at the end of the session.
Naturalists (3-5 yr. olds)
Campers will be immersed in science activities, animal discoveries, nature explorations and field work (walking trips). Parents will be invited to the premier opening of the naturalists’ discoveries in a museum-like format at the end of the session.
All campers will be treated to a healthy organic snack served each day, enjoy the great outdoor space, are invited to bring swimsuits and cool off playing in the sprinklers and water tables and treated to special guests who are invited to share artistic performances, story-telling, music and structured experiences with nature.
