List five values you wish to pass onto children:
What do you like about yourself?
I like that I am a high energy person who likes to look at the bright side of situations. I feel that I connect with people easily.
What did you want to be when you were little?
When I was little I wanted to be a teacher and I guess that kind of stuck.
Why is community important to you?
I have lived and worked with families in the same community for many years. I like to watch all the positive changes that have taken place both educationally and culturally.
How are you an active member of your community?
I was a very involved parent when my children were younger, in sports and in their academic life. I chaired the survivor committee for the Glenview Relay for Life for several years. I am a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Glenview Chamber of Commerce, where I participate in various activities to promote my community. I have always felt grateful to have worked and lived in a place that truly feels like home.
